What data and for what purpose?

The personal data you provide are used only to deliver the goods and support the order process. L'Excentrique will only send you promotions at your express request.

Your rights

You have a legal right to access and correct your personal data. Upon proof of identity, you can obtain a free communication of your data by means of a written, dated and signed request and, if necessary, have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected. Confidentiality

We treat your data as confidential information and will not pass them on, rent or sell them to third parties. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It can only identify the device, never a person. We only set cookies that are either strictly necessary to run the site, or that you have given consent for via our cookie banner.

Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)

These cookies cannot be switched off; the site does not function without them. They never carry tracking information and are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Directive (art. 5(3)).

• laravel_session — keeps your session active (cart, login). Duration: 2 hours.
• XSRF-TOKEN — protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Duration: 2 hours.
• cookie_consent — remembers which cookie categories you accepted so we don't ask again. Duration: 12 months.
• shop_locale — remembers the language you chose, so the next visit opens in that language. Set per host (the .es and .be sites keep separate preferences). Duration: 180 days.

Analytics and marketing cookies (only after your consent)

These help us understand how the site is used, measure our advertising and show you relevant ads. They are only set if you click "Accept all" in our cookie banner; you can change or withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

• _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4, anonymised visitor and session statistics. Provider: Google Ireland Limited. Duration: up to 2 years.
• of_visitor_id, of_session_id — internal analytics identifiers used only for aggregate site statistics. Duration: up to 12 months.
• Google Ads (gtag.js) — measures whether our advertising leads to purchases (conversion tracking). Provider: Google Ireland Limited. Duration: up to 90 days.
• _fbp, _fbc — Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel: measures ad performance, shows relevant ads and tracks shop interactions (e.g. product views, purchases). Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Duration: up to 90 days.

You can also configure your browser to refuse all cookies or delete them afterwards; certain functions may then not work correctly.

Statistics

L'Excentrique keeps anonymous visitor statistics to see which pages are visited and to what extent.

AI chat assistant ("Luna")

We offer an automated chat assistant called Luna as a first line of support. Luna is a bot, not a human, and this is always clearly indicated.

What we process. Luna processes the messages you send in the chat (which may include personal data you choose to share, such as your name, e-mail address or order number) together with technical data such as your session identifier and IP address, used to secure the service and limit abuse.

Purpose and legal basis. We use Luna to answer your questions and to help you with products and orders. The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you and our legitimate interest in providing efficient customer service.

Storage and review. Conversations are stored and may be reviewed by our staff for support, quality control and to improve the assistant. Where a question needs a human, the conversation may be forwarded to our customer service.

Processor and international transfer. To generate replies we rely on a specialised AI service provider (OpenAI) acting as our processor. In this context, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area (including the United States) under appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Please do not share sensitive information (e.g. payment card details or special-category data) in the chat.

No automated decisions. Luna does not take decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you. Decisions such as refunds, returns or complaints are always handled by our staff, and you can ask to be connected to a human at any time.

Address autocomplete at checkout

To make entering your delivery address easier, we offer address autocomplete. As you type your street, the text fragments you enter are sent to Geoapify GmbH, a provider based in the European Union (Germany) that acts as our processor and returns address suggestions. We only send what you type in the address field; your name, e-mail address or payment details are not included. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in correct addresses and a smooth checkout. You can always ignore the suggestions and enter your address manually.

L'Excentrique Private Club data

When you join the Private Club we process, in addition to your e-mail address, your salutation and date of birth, plus the membership and marketing consent you give.

• Purpose: to manage your membership, address you correctly, send you a birthday offer, and personalise our offers and newsletter.
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, with effect for the future, by unsubscribing or deleting your account.
• Retention: for as long as you are a member; we delete or anonymise this data when you cancel your membership or delete your account, unless we must keep certain data longer by law.
